Herrett Family: Todd
Herrett, wife April, son Nic and daughter Kelsey have been residence of
Kennesaw, Cobb County since December 1992. Todd, April and Kelsey are avid runners, members of the
Atlanta Track Club and participate in Atlanta area road races throughout the
year. Kelsey is a student at
Kennesaw Mountain High School and runs on the high school Cross Country and
Track teams. What is
your background in running? Todd has
been running since 1975 when he began running for his high school team in
Ohio. Todd ran both Cross Country and Track in high school and went on to run
2 years at Eastern Michigan University.
After taking a few years off while starting a family and relocating
with his 20 year career with PepsiCo, the 1996 Olympics motivated Todd to
start running again and has been running ever since. What
other organizations, teams or activities are you involved with? Todd shares
his love for running by coaching several years for Kennworth Track Club where
he coached distance runners and high jump until his daughter Kelsey entered
high school. He takes great pleasure in watching some of his past athletes
excel at both the high school and college level. Todd remains active as a ÒmotivatorÓ to the KMHS boys and
girls Cross Country teams and is often seen on the trails of Kennesaw
Mountain helping set the pace with the high school athletes. What is
your favorite running trail? Says Todd about Kennesaw Mountain Park; ÒWe are truly blessed to have such a wonderful place as Kennesaw Mountain to run, walk and take in the beauty of the outdoors.Ó |
